What was the highlight of Best Western Hotel Akersberga
Well located for 1 or 2 night stay.
The location was excellent. Near eateries, railway station, shops and walks along the canal. The breakfast buffet was varied and very good quality.
The room is exceptionally small for two occupants with luggage. I know the room size is stated on details, but you can't visualise until you move in. I did mention that the bin near the breakfast buffet and entrance to corridor to rooms is always swarming with bugs. That could be addressed.

breakfast is great. Rooms are nice and hotel looks good. Staff is very helpfull
not so much the property but the train to Stockholm didn’t run so we had to take the bus and metro for over an hour

What was the highlight of Best Western Hotel Akersberga
Convenient place to stay in Åkersberga
Hotel is situated right in the centre of Åkersberga a few minutes walk from the station and central shopping mall. Hence convenient for public transport if needed to Stockholm. We had a hire car and parked in the mall carpark for which we paid 40 SEK per 24hr period, which seemed a fair price. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and included both hot and cold breakfast. Hot was standard but the cold included gravadlax salmon and several types of herring. Coffee, although stored in a thermos flask, was excellent too. Nice choice of rolls as well as traditional Swedish hard breads. I loved the decoration wallpaper on the end walls to the stairs to the upper floors designed to give the appearance of bookshelves filled with old books.
We went for a king size bed but the down side was that the room seemed a bit small for it. There was little space in the room for working: space is clearly at a premium here! This may be due to the fact that building had been converted from office use prior to being a hotel? Mustard or ketchup with the breakfast - I didn't see any?
